RANZCP: A Shared Desire To Improve Indigenous Wellbeing

Te Rau Matatini were fortunate to host a wonderful group of psychiatrists who attended the 2018 Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) Congress.   From diverse global origins, the psychiatrists were welcomed onto Whatua Kaimarie marae, Manawanui Oranga Hinengao; where they learnt of Māori customs and Kaupapa Maori mental health and addiction service developments.  It was wonderful to hear their shared desires to improve the wellbeing of indigenous peoples in Australia and New Zealand.  Te Rau Matatini looks forward to future opportunities to work together again. Nga mihi ki RANZCP; Te Kaunihera mō ngā kaupapa Hauora Hinengaro, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mental Health Committee, and the New Zealand branch of RANZCP.
