Q:  

I am experiencing difficulties when completing the online application.

A:

If you experience any issues while completing the online application, please contact the scholarships team immediately on e-mail or 0800 MATATINI (0800 628 284).

 

 

Q:

I’m on the online application and unable to move to the next question?

A:

All questions with an * must be answered in full. 

 

 

Q:

If I am successful in being selected for a scholarship when will I get paid?

A:

Successful applicants will be paid the scholarship over two split payments. The first at the start and the second at the end of the academic year once all requirements of the scholarship are completed. We are unable to administer the second scholarship payment until the conditions of the scholarship agreement are met.

 

 

Q:

How do I know if you have received my application?

A:

Applicants will receive an email within five days of submission.  Applicants are encouraged to print their application id as this will confirm your submission number for future reference.

 

 

Q:

Can I apply for both the Hoe Tahi and Henry Rongomau Bennett scholarships?

A:

Applicants are welcome to apply for both scholarships provided they meet the eligibility and criteria of each of the scholarships. Applicants will only be awarded one of the scholarships.

 

 

Q:  

Can I apply for a scholarship if I have applied for other scholarships and or grants?

A: 

Yes applicants may apply for our scholarships, however should you be granted another scholarship and or grant and that funding can cover your key study costs please be mindful of others. 

 

 

Q:

Can I apply for assistance from Studylink and a scholarship from Te Rau Matatini?

A:

Yes applicants are encouraged to explore their options should they be unsuccessful in gaining a scholarship from Te Rau Matatini.

 

 

Q:

Who is in the selection panel?

A:

The Panel will consist of experts in the mental health and addiction sector.

 

 

Q: 

If I fail one of my papers do I forfeit the remaining scholarship payment?

A:

This will dependent on the number of papers you have listed in the application, as every situation is unique recipients must advise the scholarship team of any changes to their situation immediately.
